As we are approaching the end of 2021, I know this is the time for you to look back and see what worked, what didn't work and what you can do differently in 2022.
For this reason, I would like to share with you some lessons I learned when I got involved in complex and challenging company initiatives that often didn't go as expected.
This is frustrating for leaders.
They invested time, money, effort to launch them with a little impact on results.
And worse, they built high expectations on employees. Unfortunately, this is one of the most dangerous things that may happen because when we create high expectation, people react very badly when things are not delivered.
If the initiatives you have in mind for 2022 are instrumental for improving results, you have to launch them properly.
